DMCA Policy

ZestPDF (https://zestpdf.com) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (DMCA), the text of which may be found on the U.S. Copyright Office website, ZestPDF will respond expeditiously to notices of alleged copyright infringement.

1. Local Processing Statement (Important Context)

Please note that ZestPDF is a browser-based application. All file conversions, modifications, and editing occur entirely locally on the user's computer.

  • No Hosting of User Content: ZestPDF does not upload, store, host, or serve any user documents or files on its servers.
  • No Shared Content Libraries: There is no public or shared hosting of files on our platform.

    • Consequently, because we do not host, store, or transmit any user files on our infrastructure, we cannot "remove" or "disable access to" infringing files that are stored on a user's local device. If you find infringing materials on another website that were processed using our tools, you must contact the web host of that specific site to request removal.

    2. Notification of Infringement

    If you are a copyright owner, or authorized to act on behalf of one, and believe that content appearing on our website (such as our own educational resources, logo, UI assets, or blog posts) infringes your copyright, please submit a written DMCA notice to our designated Copyright Agent. Your notice must include:

  • A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple copyrighted works at a single online site are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works at that site.
  • Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled, and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material (e.g., the specific URL).
  • Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact you, such as an address, telephone number, and, if available, an electronic mail address.
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

    • 4. Counter-Notification

    If you believe that your content was removed or access to it was disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may send us a counter-notification. Your counter-notification must be a written communication sent to our Copyright Agent and must include:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or access to it was disabled.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  • Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or if your address is outside of the United States, for any judicial district in which ZestPDF may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided notification under Section 2 above or an agent of such person.

    • 5. Termination Policy

    For any portion of our site that permits user accounts or interactive content (if any), ZestPDF reserves the right to terminate the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
